About me

Hello and welcome to my site! My name is Siwen Wang (王思文), and I am a computer science teacher at the international department of Qingdao Academy. Besides teaching regular AP computer science courses, I also designed and taught the world’s first (to the best of my knowledge) Brain-Computer Interface curriculum to high schoolers. You can check out some of our work under the teaching tab.

Aside from my teaching career, I am also activately involved in doing research. Right now, I am working with my former advisor Dr. Tzyy-Ping Jung on developing a next generation Large EEG model!

If you were to look at my education path, I received all of my formal training in the field of engineering, but finally I chose a teaching career. This choice is mainly due to the memorable and loving experiences I had with my teachers at my high school Monterey Bay Academy. The four years there was the best part of my life. And I hope to pass my knowledge and life experience in the U.S. to more students in China so that they can be well-prepared mentally and intellectually before coming to the competitve new world in U.S. college.
